  The field of public health is fascinating to me because of the diverse opportunity to improve the public’s ability to live healthy lives on a large and global scale. I started my career as a nurse and worked in several areas including medical surgery, neonatal ICU, and the operating room for general, urology, pediatric and plastic surgery cases. A career highlight was being selected to serve on the first liver transplant team for Johns Hopkins Hospital. I’ve also set up IV therapy training programs and worked in such areas as hospital risk management and epidemiology. Today, as a certified project manager, I enjoy managing projects from start to finish and look forward to connecting with research, medical, or other organizations looking to make lasting strides in public health.
